The two large sculpted glass walls are located in the Rapid Transit Station In Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Emerald Laminata was inspired by the exquisite carved jade art works seen at the National Museum in Taipei and the ocean environment of the island of Taiwan.

Digitizing two clay models involved 94 million three-dimensional coordinates.
Templates plotted on almost 4 km (2.5 miles) of paper.
10,200 sheets of glass were cut, each with a slightly different contour.

Medium: heavily sculptured float glass, laminated and stacked
Dimensions: 16.10 m x 3.30 m x 0.27 m (51’0” x 10’0” x 10") — 54 tons of float glass
Each wall has it own theme: 'Infinity' and 'Tree Of Life'
Location: R4 Rapid Transit Station at the International Airport, Kaohsiung, Taiwan

Architects: Charles C. Chen Architects, Kaohsiung, Taiwan
Digitizing, Virtual Fabrication: Christian Karl Janssen, Alameda, California
Structural Engineers: Schmidtt+Thielmann, Wiesbaden, Germany
