Eight three-dimensional windows are located in the prayer and banquet halls. In the Taj Mahal in India and the Alhambra in Spain I experienced light filtering through intricately carved marble and wooden screens. The marble and wood seemed de-materialized, more precious and transformed into pure light. This observation became my guiding principle for creating the golden windows of Burnaby Jamatkhana (prayer house).
